CMMG Return Policy
Sending a firearm back to CMMG for inspection or repair is easy. Here’s how to get returns to us.
Returns
Complete Firearms and Serialized Products
There are NO returns or refunds on any complete firearms or serialized products once the item has been transferred to the end user through the FFL. If you find that you have ordered a product by mistake, you must contact CMMG Customer Service to process a return prior to completing the transfer. No exceptions.
NFA Firearms (ATF Form 4 Transfers)
All National Firearms Act (“NFA”) firearms are non-returnable and non-refundable once the item has been received and accepted by the designated FFL/SOT and the ATF Form 4 (Application for Tax Paid Transfer and Registration of Firearm) has been initiated or submitted, regardless of transfer or approval status. Once a Form 4 is pending, the transfer is subject to ATF regulatory requirements and cannot be canceled or returned. CMMG makes no guarantees regarding ATF processing or approval timelines, including delays resulting from ATF procedural changes effective January 1, 2026. ATF processing delays do not constitute grounds for a return, cancellation, or refund.
CMMG is not responsible for selection of an FFL for the required ATF 4473. The customer is responsible for contacting the chosen FFL to ensure that they will transfer the product being purchased. Any returns due to purchaser’s choice of FFL is subject to a 15% restocking fee.
If your firearm needs service, please contact our Customer Service Department prior to attempting any repairs on your own. Do NOT take the firearm or part back to the place of purchase or transfer.
Non-Serialized Products
CMMG will accept returns on non-serialized products for a period of thirty (30) days from the date the product shipped.
- All returns must be authorized through our Customer Service department with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) assigned.
- All authorized returns will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
- All items must be in new, unused condition with original packaging.
CMMG will not accept returns of items not purchased directly from CMMG.com. Those must be returned to the place of purchase.
Order Cancellation
Canceling orders that are awaiting fulfillment but have not been shipped will be subject to a 5% cancellation fee. If the cancellation request is received after tracking information and the shipping notification have been created OR the internal ATF Form 3 has been submitted by us, a 15% cancellation fee will be assessed as this is now a RETURN. This fee is to offset the cost of credit card processing fees and the labor required to ensure the cancelled order does not ship.

Promo Code Redemption Errors
CMMG is not responsible for any failure by the customer to enter a promo code at checkout. Customers are solely responsible for reviewing their cart and ensuring that any applicable promo code has been correctly entered and applied prior to completing their purchase.
As a discretionary courtesy, and not as an obligation, CMMG may apply a missed promo code after an order has been placed only if all the following conditions are met:
- The order was placed within the valid promotional period. CMMG will not apply discounts to orders placed outside the published dates of a promotion.
- The customer contacts CMMG within 3 business days of placing the order or the promotion/code remains active at the time the adjustment request is submitted. At least one of these conditions must be satisfied. Promo codes or promotions that are no longer active at the time of the request will not be applied retroactively.
If the above requirements are met, CMMG will review the request and determine, at its sole discretion, whether the discount will be applied.
